The SuperTooth Bluetooth Stereo Speaker produces 28 watts of wireless power

by Mark R - on May 4th, 2011

I got a chance to meet up with Supertooth at CTIA Spring 2011 in Orlando last month, and this was where I first encountered the Disco.

I finally got a chance to try it out at home, and synced it to my phone via Bluetooth. In a matter of seconds, I was listening to 28 watts of sound total (one 12 watt subwoofer and two 8 watt stereo drivers). By the way, if you can?t figure out the Bluetooth, the Supertooth Disco comes with a cord that plugs into the headphone jack of your tablet, phone, or laptop, and you will be wired to the speaker.

I cranked the dial on the front all the way to the right, and I found that the sound was loud, but not too loud. I had some children sleeping in the next room, and this did not wake them up. I have seen smaller speakers put out louder sound, and, just so you know the size of this speaker, it is about the size of your forearm.

Please do not mistake my last paragraph as a bad review. The purpose of the Supertooth Disco is to be that external speaker that you need, and not meant to rock the house. It is simple to use and produces the sound that I wanted, which was just loud enough for my desk. You should be able to get the Supertooth Disco from the Supertooth store for about 119,00 ?.
