TiGr Bike Lock

by Mark R - on April 29th, 2011

I have seen a lot of bike locks in the past, but most of them are pretty tricky when it comes to storing on the bicycle.

The TiGr is a titanium ?bow? that its extremely flexible, and it has ?lock claims flexibility, hack-proof strength, and a sexy design worthy of your ride?. It can stretch out to about five foot five inches, and then both ends lock together.

As you can see, it is one of those bikes that locks the wheels together so that no one can ride off with it. Personally, I like the type that lock up against something like a tree or a bar, but that is just me.

What is really interesting is how the lock is stored on the bike. It can go around the frame along the crossbar when not in use. I guess that?s better than most of the horseshoe locks that need a special holster, and some of those thick wire locks can get tangled around the frame.

Granted, this is a Kickstarter project, which means there is going to need some funds to get it going. It could also use a new name, as I can only understand part of its current one. ?Ti? as the elemental symbol for titanium, but I checked the symbol for ?Gr?, and it?s not on the periodic table. Don?t just make up a ?Gr? element just so you can have a name.
