Just Mobile AluBase Macbook stand review
Flipping open the cover of the box displays the AluBase on the right and a picture of its functionality on the left.
Personally, I use a snap-on case for both my MacBook Air and Retina MacBook Pro. I was afraid that they might not fit in the AluBase with the case on, but luckily, the AluBase inserts have enough space for a naked MacBook or a MacBook with a snap-on case.
Having the MacBook on a vertical stand makes much more sense if you?re going to use an external display. The AluBase is solidly made and the grip on the base prevents it from sliding around the desk. The AluBase costs $49.95 direct.

Samsung And Apple World Smartphone Market Ahold
Samsung And Apple World Smartphone Market Ahold ? Two of the company?s smartphones, Apple and Samsung, still seems to be the company that dominates the smartphone market of the world. And chances are, the trend still will continue for the next few years. This is expressed by the market research institute Gartner. They revealed that Samsung and Apple controls a total of 46.5 percent of the sales of the smartphone world. And, if the prosentasi is expressed in numbers, Samsung managed to sell as many as 55 million units of smartphones, while Apple has marketed the 23.6 million iPhones.
In addition to the two companies, other smartphone manufacturers are absolutely not able to interfere with the dominance of the two companies. Research in Motion (RIM), Nokia mobile phone or other Android manufacturers are still not able to interfere with the consistency of Apple and Samsung.
However, the Gartner note, Samsung is experiencing an increase in sales in the third quarter in the year 2012. For the Android platform, Samsung managed to overwhelm the market with percentage amounted to 45.0 percent, an increase of 52.5 percent in the previous quarter. While at the same time, Appel decreased by 13.9 percent.

QWERTY BlackBerry 10 Smartphone Gets Pictured
The first images of Research in Motion?s forthcoming BlackBerry 10 OS smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard on-board just got pictured for the first time over the holidays. The design loses the arced keyboard arrangement, but the rows still have frets on them and the individual keys are still tapered and ridged to aid in typing accuracy. Overall, the design looks similar to what RIM has been doing with its current flagship BlackBerry, the Bold 9900 series smartphone.
However, instead of a landscape-oriented screen over the keyboard, RIM will be doing what Palm had done for years with its Treo line of smartphones and placing a square touchscreen display over the screen. The new keyboarded BlackBerry will have a square-resolution display with 720 X 720 pixels, making it a rather odd resolution 720p HD display with a pixel density of 330-ppi. Images of RIM?s new smartphones were published onBGR.
In addition to this old favorite form factor with a physical keyboard, RIM will also be debuting its new BlackBerry 10 operating system on a touchscreen-only device that?s been previously leaked as the BlackBerry Z10. While that device does not have a physical keyboard like this one that?s been a favorite among long-time BlackBerry owners, RIM has been promoting the merits of its touchscreen-keyboard, including a predictive typing engine, auto-correct that?s intuitive, and support for multilingual input.
RIM is expected to launch its BlackBerry 10 OS alongside new hardware at the end of January 2013 in multiple countries simultaneously in an effort to stay better competitive against Android and iOS devices. It?s still unclear what the final naming of this smartphone will be at launch and if RIM will continue to use the Bold branding given the similarities of the keyboard between this BlackBerry 10 device and the current BlackBerry Bold 9900 series, which runs the BlackBerry 7 operating system currently.

Star Wars Death Star Planetarium
by Edwin - on December 26th, 2012
With the Star Wars Death Star Planetarium, you will be able to turn a darkened room into a Star Wars galaxy, where this 2-in-1 tabletop Death Star will open up to reveal a planetary projector which lights up and displays either the Star Wars galaxy with planet names should you want your imagination to run wild, or to have it project Earth?s night sky. Switching between the two is a cinch, while the included cover ensures that your room returns to normal as it fits over the top of the planetarium. The Star Wars Death Star Planetarium is not powered by a core reactor, but rather, just a trio of AA batteries are required, and it will not have the destructive power to obliterate planets, so fret not. I wonder if the erased Kamino system is displayed or not?
Toshiba Ultrabook gets Harman Kardon speakers
by Edwin - on December 26th, 2012
Basically, if you are in the market for a Windows 8 powered workhorse multimedia laptop that delivers exceptional sound, your ears will definitely tingle (if it works as claimed) as it tunes in to the remarkably thin Toshiba Satellite U845W Ultrabook which is said to pack far more bite than what it looks like at first glance. Sporting a couple of Harman Kardon speakers alongside Odyssey3 drivers, the Satellite U845W is said to offer crisp, robust sound with authoritative bass which is louder compared to other comparably sized laptop or notebook that is in the market at the moment.
Sachin Lawande, executive vice president of HARMAN and co-president of HARMAN Lifestyle and Infotainment, said, ?This is the first Ultrabook that doesn?t require the user to attach external speakers to enjoy a movie, MP3 or streaming audio. The Harman Kardon speakers were custom-designed for the Satellite Ultrabook to get the most out of digital music files. The Satellite Ultrabook was built for beautiful sound.?
The Satellite U845W is not the only one from Toshiba to include Harman Kardon speakers, but it will mark a new era, being the first of nine models to do so. It would be interesting to see how the market reacts to such a model (and other models in the pipeline), and whether audio quality is that big of a deal breaker for many. Expect to pick up the Toshiba Satellite U845W with Harman Kardon sound from $929.99 upwards, depending on the configuration you selected.
