Android Powered Ski Goggles Give You A Heads-Up Display (HUD) ? Turns You Into Robocop On The Slopes

I mean, think about it. A heads-up display could give you all kinds of useful information from hostiles, to displaying the distance of the nearest Burger King. That?s kind of the idea behind these Android powered ski goggles from Recon Instruments.

The MOD and MOD Live ski goggles feature a built in 428�240 LCD Micro-Optics Display that gives skiers a virtual HUD they can use to view information on speed, jumps, trail maps, GPS location and yes ? even receive calls and SMS messages. The goggles are actually powered by a 600MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 512MB of storage, 256MB of RAM and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Eventually, Recon Instruments hopes to add video recording connectivity for use with future wireless point-of-view action cameras. This way you can capturing all your dips and spills while shredding it up on the slopes.
