RIM And Telefonica Testing Out NFC Payments In Spain

RIM has announced that they have teamed up with Spanish mobile carrier Telefonica, and the two companies are testing out an NFC based payment system in Spain, which is called the Telefonica Wallet for BlackBerry.

The Telefonica BlackBerry wallet uses a SIM based NFC system, and major banks, financial institutions and retailers are taking part in the trial.
