If you are the sort of audio hound that has a bunch of vinyl records and cassette tapes and really wants your tracks onto a digital device too, you probably have noted the Ion USB record turntables before. However, the $100 or so they cost might have put you off, especially if you already have a nice turntable and cassette deck.
What these folks need is the new Vinyl Forever from Ion. It looks like a turntable and connects to your computer via USB. The difference is this thing is actually just a tiny converter. It uses RCA connections to connect to your existing audio components.
It has recording level controls along with volume and a headphone port on the front. The best part is that the converter is very cheap at under $35 making way more affordable than a full USB turntable. There is no word when the device will launch.
