Once in a while, the crowd sourcing site known as Kickstarter has some winners tucked away under their belt, and you could say that the Memoto is one of them. Memoto originally intended to offer everyone the reality of a true photographic memory, and it seemed that this goal was achieved on Kickstarter in just 5 hours. Talk about fast! Most other projects take their own sweet time to materialize, while others never really end up in the promised land. Well, once it hit its Kickstarter goal in a matter of 5 hours, Memoto continued to rally support around the idea of developing a searchable, shareable memory, which in the end saw it surpass a couple of two stretch goals, while hitting the $500,000 jackpot in terms of funding, which is 10 times the original goal. Now that it has just a few more days to go, Memoto intends to head down the final stretch in glory with a third stretch goal that will deliver a range of useful new features.
Measuring roughly the size of a postage stamp, the Memoto camera, in essence, is an intelligent micro-device which is capable of capturing just about every moment of your life in photo keyframes. These are spontaneous shots that can be effortlessly searched, shared and revisited whenever you feel like it, where it is made possible thanks to Memoto?s innovative web service and mobile application. The camera will need to be connected to your clothing via a small stainless steel metal clip, where it gets to work in a subtle manner, capturing every special moment of your life just as it happens.
Some of the new features which will be integrated into the final product will include the ability to select just the correct time interval that the photos were taken from the Memoto application, the ability to bookmark specific photos by quickly tapping the camera after a special moment making it?s easy to later find the photo, as well as the option to retain photos which are stashed away locally when synchronizing with the computer, as well as uploading them to the cloud.
The third stretch goal? Memoto intends to develop a wide-angle camera lens, a waterproof case and a Wi-Fi dock, so are you going to help spur them on in achieving this final stretch goal?
