If you?ve been dying to get your hands on your shiny new iPhone 5, you?ll be glad to hear that the delay in shipping has been reduced. Not too long ago the shipping delay on the iPhone 5 was three to four weeks. That shipping delay has now been reduced to the two or three week range.
The shipping estimate surfaced in the form of an update on the iPhone 5 product page. The iPhone 5 has been facing shipping delays since it went on sale in late September due to high demand. There have also been issues in production of the new smartphone.
The reduction in shipping delay comes on the heels of Foxconn officially announcing last month that production for the iPhone 5 had improved. Foxconn has called the new version of the iPhone the most difficult product it has ever assembled.
