Google has begun sending out emails informing some of those who ordered the Nexus 4 on its release date that their backordered Nexus 4 will be arriving at some point this week.
The company has sent out an email informing some of those Nexus 4 customers who ordered on November 13th but were subsequently told that their Nexus 4 was backordered and wouldn?t be arriving for three weeks. The email implies that at least some Nexus 4 orders will be sent out this week though Google remains coy about any specifics in regards to the shipping date.

Google says, in the email, that it will send out an email that contains tracking information to those who will be receiving their Nexus 4 order this week. Thus far, we haven?t heard from anyone who has received any type of tracking information. Instead, the email is generic.
Here is the email that Google is sending to some of those who ordered the Nexus 4 on day one.
Your Nexus 4 order is scheduled to ship this week. We?ll send you a notification, including tracking information, when it?s on the way.
Please note that your order will be charged in full when it ships. As a courtesy and to thank you for your patience, you?ll then receive a credit for the shipping charge within 7 business days.
Thanks again,
The Google Play Team
It?s unclear how many Nexus 4 customers received this email but we?ve heard from more than a few who received it so it appears that this new shipment may cover a wide swath of those who have been waiting since earlier this month for their Nexus 4 to arrive.
What?s also unclear is what this means for those that weren?t able to place an order on day one. Since November 13th, the Nexus 4 has been unavailable through Google?s Play Store leaving many to wonder whether stock would return. It could be that stock returns to the Google Play Store soon but that remains to be seen.

Google?s Nexus 4 launch was marred by site issues due to the interest in Google?s new device. Many of those who tried to pre-order the device were greeted with error?s and some who ordered were greeted with a back order which Google promised to tackle in three weeks time.
Fortunately, it looks like Google made good on its promise.
Thanks everyone who sent this in!
