EE has announced that it is expanding its 4G LTE network in the UK, and EE?s 4G is now available in nine more town in the UK, making it available in a total of 27 towns and cities around the UK.
EE has now rolled out 4G to Chelmsford, Amersham, Bolton, Hemel Hempstead, Sunderland, Wolverhamptom, Stockport, Sunderland and Sutton Coldfield, and according to EE their 4G network now covers 45 percent of the UK population.
As the first operator to bring 4G to the UK it is important that we make it accessible to as much of the population as possible, as quickly as possible. To be ahead of schedule and covering approximately 45% of the population within just 90 days of the launch is a great achievement for our network team,? says EE CEO Olaf Swantee. ?We continue to bring superfast mobile to more and more people, whether they?re using their devices outdoors or in their homes and offices, and to increase the speed and consistency of our 4G and 3G network across the UK.?
It will be interesting to see how fast Ee can roll out to their 4G to the rest of the UK, other mobile carriers will also be launching 4G LTE in the UK later this year.
