Aside from its 20-inch 4K tablet, Panasonic brought two more tablets to CES 2013. These highly durable mobile devices are the Toughpad FZ-G1, powered by the Windows 8 Pro operating system, and the Toughpad JT-B1 running Android.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 has both MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certifications, so it is tough and waterproof. The 10.1-inch, 1920 by 800 pixel display has a brightness output of 800 nits for enhanced outdoor visibility. There is an Intel Core i5 processor with 4 or 8GB of RAM and an SSD of 128 or 256GB. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and Ethernet ports, with optional GPS and 3G/4G modules.
The Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and comes with a 7-inch, 1024 by 600 pixel screen with 500 nits of brightness output. It is almost as tough as its bigger counterpart, and has Gorilla Glass 2. It packs a TI OMAP4460 dual-core system-on-a-chip running at 1.5GHz. There?s also a gig of RAM and 16GB of storage, a 13-megapixel main camera on the back and a 1.3MP camera on the front side. There is Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and NFC, with an optional 4G module.
