Members of the British Army that currently in Afghanistan, have a new toy. Small surveillance drones that fit right in the palm of their hands. They are called the Black Hornet Nano and they are surveillance drones designed in Scandinavia.
They weigh just 16 grams and measure 4 inches long. These robots come equipped with a small camera for spy missions, sending back images and video footage to a remote terminal. It works pretty well in windy environments despite the size.
160 of them will see action in the field. They have an air height of about 800 meters and a full charge will allow it to fly for 30 minutes.
