If you are a fan of the great VLC media player, you might be pleased to now that a new version VLC 2.0 is set to be launched very soon and will be arriving on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux systems.
VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files and cosecs out there, as well as DVD, Audio CD, VCD, and various streaming protocols. The newly redesigned VLC players has under gone a complete rewrite say its developers and will be arriving very soon.
The new user interface of VLC 2.0 has combined many of the features in to one window and a redesigned subtitle manager, support for multiple video files inside RAR archives and enhanced video output modes. The Mac version will also support Blu-ray media and Windows users will get to enjoy a 64-bit version. VLC explain:
