Google Confirms Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Roll Out

Google has confirmed that the Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean roll out is currently underway and it?s hitting devices on specific carriers this very moment.

In a post on Google+, the company has confirmed that the Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is rolling out to Nexus S devices on T-Mobile, H3G, O2, Rogers and Vodafone.

Google says that the update is rolling out right now in most countries but it doesn?t exactly specify which ones. For those that aren?t seeing the update, Google says that more updates are on the way so Nexus S owners that don?t see the initial roll out should see the software arrive soon.

The Nexus S Android 4.1 update is rolling out to devices on various carriers.

The confirmation comes shortly after it became clear that the Nexus S Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has reached at least two versions of the Nexus S.

Owners began seeing the update arrive Over-the-Air earlier today.

The roll out of the Nexus S Android 4.1 update means that the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus are next in line to receive the update. The Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus, Xoom, and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ are among the initial devices that are getting the update.

Other devices, like the HTC One X, HTC One S and the Samsung Galaxy S III should be seeing the updates in the next couple of months, though, the devices on American carriers will likely face long waits.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be bringing quite a few features along with it to Android owners including Google Now, re-sizable widgets, customizable Notifications, offline Voice dictation and more.
