Take a scary game with lots of blood and guts, then build a dining experience around it. Sounds like Japan alright. Capcom announced last month that it will be installing a Resident Evil restaurant in Shibuya, Tokyo this month. Apparently it opened yesterday. This Resident Evil-themed restaurant is appropriately called Biohazard Cafe and Grill, and is now open to the public.
Inside you can get Resident Evil-themed food, look at some props, and see lots of dancing girls.(Looking at plane tickets right now)
Probably the thing that stands out the most is a life-size monument of Tyrant designed by the Toei Company. Using 3D projection mapping technology, the Tyrant statue is said to come to life to freak people out. When that happens the staff, called S.T.A.R.S ANGELIQUE, shoots at the figure. The restaurant will only be open for only a year since it?s a limited-time thing.
