In April Sony announced it was to release a new media hub called Nasne. The device allows for digital terrestrial and satellite programming to be piped to your PS3, PS Vita, Sony laptops, tablets, or smartphones via your home network. The included 500GB hard drive meant that you could record your favorite shows, too. The device was to launch in Japan tomorrow for around $200, but not anymore.
We aren?t sure what the problem is yet. Japanese retailers already had stock of the device ready to sell, but Sony is having them ship their Nasne units back to the company now. So the problem is likely in the hardware.
Whatever the issue is(Engadget thinks the stock was damaged in transport) let?s hope Sony fixes things and that the device arrives for sale soon.
