In this day and age it pays to have super tough passwords. If you have a weak password, you are asking for trouble. Turns out that the French Central Bank has one of the worst ever. A French citizen unintentionally breached the security of the French central bank over the phone, only to be freed by authorities after being accused of ?hacking?.
The incident triggered a 48-hour shut down of the computer system that handles the consumer debt files. The man was trying to get around the paid telephone consumer support system, so on some Internet forums he got what he thought was a direct-line to the central bank employees. When asked for a code, he entered 123456 and it worked. He breached security.
I hope they beef up security after this incident.
