Pocket for Android Updated With All New Text-to-Speech Feature ? Makes It The Perfect Road Companion

Pocket ? formerly Read It Later ? has long been one of my go-to apps for archiving interesting tidbits from around the web. Today, their Android application was updated in the Play Store bringing about some a good deal of bug fixes, enhancements and an all new feature. The most noteworthy is the ability to have saved articles read aloud to you, using Android?s built-in text to speech software.

Simply open up the article you?re looking to read, click the menu button in the upper right, select the ?Listen (TTS)? option, and you?re off. Your phone will now read what ever text is displayed, and you can pause or skip ahead to paragraphs like you would tracks in your music app. Users also have to ability to control the speed of the read text, as well as select a variety of languages. Super cool, super functional, and this makes Pocket the perfect solution for keeping up to date the web while on the road. Pocket is free for download right now in the Google Play Store.
