A report claims that Motorola will be launching a smartphone with an edge-to-edge display at its event on September 5th. The Motorola Droid RAZR M, a mid-range device that has leaked out, doesn?t seem to have one on board so it could be that it?s the Motorola Droid RAZR HD that will feature the edge-to-edge display technology.
Bloomberg is reporting that the new device will feature both 4G LTE speeds and also a bezel-less design wherein the display takes up the entire front portion of the device.
If true, it would be one of the first devices in the United States to boast this feature.

Unfortunately, the report does not name of name of the device so at this point, we?re just speculating that it?s going to be the Droid RAZR HD that will be coming with this type of screen.
Oddly enough, an edge-to-edge display for the Droid RAZR HD had not been rumored as a feature up until this point and YouTube videos (which have been taken down due to a copyright claim by Motorola) that purportedly showed the Droid RAZR HD in action did not show off that type of technology.
So it?s possible that Motorola has done a fantastic job of keeping this under wraps until now ? previous photos of the Droid RAZR HD in the wild did not give us a good look at its display ? or the report could be talking about a whole other device entirely.
Nothing is certain at this point.

What is certain is that Motorola and Verizon have an event planned for September 5th wherein the companies are expected to show off their latest efforts. And thus far, signs point to the Droid RAZR HD and the Droid RAZR M.
While the Droid RAZR M will likely be Motorola?s mid-range RAZR offering, the Droid RAZR HD will likely be its high-end device.
Previous rumors have the Droid RAZR HD featuring a large display, speedy processor, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich though Motorola might opt to release it with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead.
