Ah, the vaunted CamCrate. It?s basically a sealed box for a DSLR just in case the owner is toosqueamishabout it getting scratched while taking pictures somewhere. The CamCrate is no laughing matter though, whatever ?proof? currently exists, be it water or fire or whatnot, the CamCrate is. Okay, maybe except nuclear-proof. But anything else?yeah, the CamCrate can survive it.
The CamCrate, which costs a really affordable $50 but goes as high as $100 for international orders, is a lightweight container that?s designed and manufactured to withstand the rigours of a photo expedition in wild, dangerous places. Other than being able to fit a DSLR, it doesn?t have any outstanding specs worth mentioning.
Goodie! After additional research, it has been uncovered that the CamCrate is a Kickstarter project that?s still hungry for funds. According to inventor Matthew Geyster, who needs up to $20,000, the CamCrate is a near-universalaccessorywhose soft interior fits almost any DSLR camera. It?s secured by a latch and comes with a strap for easy carrying.
