Yamaha makes all sorts of audio gear. I?ve seen more docks for smartphones and home theater bars than anything from the company. It has a new amp for musicians that looks really cool with a very retro design. The outside may look like something from decades ago, but inside it?s modern.
The amp is called the THR5 and it has all digital circuits inside along with VCM effects. Those effects allow the machine to make the sounds of five different amp types. It also has pedal effects and more. There is a THR10 unit that adds a tuner as well.
Both of the amps have stereo sound and can run off AA batteries or AC power. The devices will also interface with a computer via a USB port. The launch is set of January at an undisclosed price. The features and design look expensive to me.
